What is the Paper About?
This research explores how entrepreneurship education impacts student’s entrepreneurial mindset in the Chinese higher education setting. The research found that entrepreneurship education significantly enhanced students’ entrepreneurial inspiration, which, in turn, promoted formation of students’ entrepreneurial mindset. The research also explored how additional educational variables impacted entrepreneurial inspiration and, in turn, entrepreneurial mindset. Students’ involvement in extracurricular activity generates a positive influence on their entrepreneurial mindset.
Why is it Important?
The research highlights the positive role that entrepreneurship education has on entrepreneurial inspiration and thus mindset in Chinese higher education. This emphasizes the importance of evoking students’ entrepreneurial passion, interest, and emotions through entrepreneurship education. To achieve this, entrepreneurship education needs to be carefully and thoughtfully designed to engage and interest students, prompting their entrepreneurial inspiration. Accordingly, university program developers and implementers should pay more attention to active and non-mandatory activities related to entrepreneurship.
