Growing up in Somerset in the UK, the common tipple was cider. Other than a few tastes of beer I had largely stayed away from it until my mid-twenties. However, whilst increasingly living and working overseas, it was difficult to find cider, and beer is by far more common. This led to a journey of tasting and exploring more beer, which I honed while living, working, and travelling in Beijing, Kyiv, Moscow, Washington DC, and the UK. To document this, I have logged the different beers I have tried by photographing them and describing each one with three words. These words are the words that came to mind when trying the different beers. Whilst I am not a beer expert, I started documenting my journey to grow my knowledge of beer, and I have indeed developed and increased my beer knowledge along the way. I have only logged bottles and cans (no draft pours) to showcase the artwork and design. The links below document my beer journey, exploring different beers in different countries and continents.
